POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Day Program Director, the Day Service Coordinator is responsible for the development, documentation, and implementation of Day Habilitation services for individuals who live in both state and voluntary operated residential programs. They work with and supervise direct care employees and are responsible to develop and provide opportunities that promote community inclusion. Salary Range:
From $49202 to $62806 Annually
Minimum Qualification
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
In title Habilitation Specialist 1, Grade 14; OR Eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to Habilitation Specialist 1 by the Department of Civil Service (must also be within 2 salary grades of grade 14.) OR A bachelor's or higher-level degree in a human services field a degree in a human services field includes the professional disciplines of audiology, community mental health, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, social work, speech/language pathology, and therapeutic recreation (including concentrations in art, creative arts, dance, drama, music, or physical education.) Also included are related academic disciplines associated with the study of human behavior (e.g., gerontology, human services, sociology, speech communication); or human skills development (e.g., counseling, education, human development.) Examples of non-qualifying degrees include but are not limited to:
criminal justice, political science, liberal arts, and business. QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disorder Professional) designation requires one year's experience working with people with a developmental disability AND a Bachelor's degree or higher in a human services field (including, but not limited to:
sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
